Community Responsibility & Cultural Engagement Opportunities

Global Gateways residents are community leaders who actively shape the program’s cultural experience.

You are expected to foster engagement by collaboratively planning and attending two events during your assigned month: one focusing on culture and one on social connection.

Engagement activities include:

• International Socials like tea dialogues, karaoke, cross club collaborations and foreign holiday celebrations.
• Cultural Exploration through foreign film nights, cuisine picnics, and games from around the world.
• Community Service with international ties, such as refugee tutoring or conversation hour with English Learners.

To maintain a thriving environment, participants must also contribute to the upkeep of apartments and common areas and are required to attend a monthly community meeting on select Sunday evenings.
