Event Date:
November 16, 2021 – 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Location:
Popp Martin Student Union Crown Commons Dinning Hall

The Office of International Programs in collaboration with UNC Charlotte Dining Services invites you to explore Moroccan cuisine for lunch at Crown Commons in the Popp Martin Student Union. Traditional Moroccan harira soup with lamb will be served for you to enjoy.

According to Culture Trip, an online travel website, “Harira is a staple food eaten traditionally during the month of Ramadan, when the tomato-based soup is served with a side of dates and a honey-soaked sweet treat known as chebakya following a day of fasting. Filled with lentils and vermicelli noodles or rice to thicken the mixture, as well as chickpeas and a blend of fresh herbs and spices, harira is the national soup of Morocco.”
