A Celebration of Brazilian Dance & Culture

Students from UNC Charlotte’s Department of Dance will perform a series of traditional African-Brazilian dances. The students’ performances will include choreography by Assistant Professor Tamara Williams and guest artists, Flavia Nascimento. In addition, our performance will feature local capoeira Contra Mestre Zumbi from the International Capeoira School. Zumbi will lead a short capoeira demonstration and teach a capoeira workshop following the performance.
