Ambassadors to the US from Monaco and Turkey

Gilles Noghes, Ambassador to the U.S. from Monaco, will discuss “Image of a Country: The Case of Monaco,” and Namik Tan, Ambassador from Turkey, will present “Turkey in a Changing World.” A question-and-answer session will follow.

In 2006, Noghes became the first ambassador of Monaco to the United States. Previously, he represented Monaco to the United Nations offices in New York and Geneva, and he was ambassador of Monaco in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Tan was appointed ambassador of Turkey to the United States in 2010. Prior to that, he was deputy undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2007-09, he was ambassador of Turkey to Israel.
