What is Class to Class GNL

Class to Class are developed by partnering professors from different institutions, from two or more countries, who want to enrich their courses with student interaction and collaborative learning.

Professors work together to design and implement the Class to Class GNL Collaboration, allowing the collaboration to be customized to meet the needs of any class, in any discipline. It takes planning and careful attention to design to have a successful Class to Class GNL Collaboration that benefits students, professors and institutions.

Components of Class to Class GNL

Components of a Class to Class GNL includes: 1) icebreaker and team building, 2) a collaborative project and 3) reflection and assessment, jointly led the faculty members, completed by the students from both institutions.

Steps to Develop a Class to Class GNL Course

Please follow the three steps to start your proposal for a Class to Class GNL Course: 1) Submit your faculty interest form, 2) Enroll in a self-paced the Canvas Course, and 3) Complete your proposal for a Class to Class GNL course. Faculty will be given a stipend of $1250 for a successfully completed first-time GNL course, or $500 for successfully completed recurring GNL course.

Steps to Implement and Evaluate Your Class to Class GNL Course

The Office of Global Learning supports faculty throughout their implementation of the Class to Class GNL course, such as: deliver cultural presentations to students, administer psychometrically validated assessment tools, and provide debrief for cultural learning. Faculty will be asked to complete an end-of-course evaluation form to report their GNL experience before receiving funding.
