Please join the office of International Programs for its second installment of the Global Perspective Series for the academic year. Dr. Michèle Bissière, professor in the Department of Languages and Culture Studies will be presenting on the topic “Promoting Global Education though Film.”
Now in its 7th year, the International Film Festival organized by the Department of Languages and Culture Studies and the language clubs provides students opportunities to expand their worldview by attending and discussing a wide variety of international films. Dr. Michèle Bissière, the founder and coordinator of the annual festival, will talk about the history of the festival, mention some of its highlights (including opportunities for student engagement), and share plans for the future. Participants will be invited to provide feedback and new ideas to take the festival to the next level.
