Award & Recognition Opportunities

In partnership with campus collaborators, the Office of Global Education and Engagement provides leadership in coordinating various opportunities to showcase global engagement and promotion by various university constituents. Two of the hallmark events include International Women’s Day and the International Education Awards.

International Education Awards

Since 1995 the Office of International Programs, in partnership with the Phi Beta Delta Mu Chapter, has coordinated an annual awards celebration to mark the international education contributions and learning experiences of faculty and students. Over the years, the awards program has expanded to also include various student scholarship awards administered by OIP’s Office of Education Abroad and the International Student and Scholar Office. International Woman’s Day

The purpose of this celebration & nominations is to acknowledge that our campus community is filled with local women who embody the richness of internationalism and we would like to recognize these individuals for their contributions to UNC Charlotte and the world. This UNC Charlotte celebration includes a reception recognizing individuals involved in international and/or women’s issues, historical and cultural information sharing, and special performances.
